High-Pressure and Hot Forming
Some applications demand more than standard forming can deliver. Our hot-forming process is engineered for tank heads that operate under extreme pressure, temperature, and service conditions. By forming material at elevated temperatures, we produce heads up to 48″ in diameter and 2″ thick with the structural integrity required for high-PSI environments.
This capability is purpose-built for pressure vessels where durability is non-negotiable.
Why High-Pressure and Hot Forming?
Heating the material before forming reduces resistance and allows thicker plate to be shaped without compromising strength. The process also results in less material thinning during forming, helping maintain wall integrity across the head profile. The result is a dense, uniform head capable of withstanding severe internal pressure and cyclic stress.
Hot forming is often the preferred option when cold forming or dished and flanged methods cannot meet performance requirements.
